Stable Housing is less about winning a long fight and more about getting in, finding one small clue, and getting back out alive. The target is the Project Heartwood paperwork hidden inside Security Bridge on Stella Montis, and it counts as a quest item rather than ordinary loot. That matters because you can't treat this run like a casual supply trip. If you're trying to build up a useful stash of ARC Raiders BluePrints, this mission is worth doing early, but only if you stay focused. Stella Montis has plenty of reasons to wander off: locked rooms, valuable containers, ARC patrols, and other Raiders doing the exact same thing. It's easy to lose ten minutes chasing noise. Don't. Bring a kit you're comfortable losing, leave a few inventory slots open, take healing supplies, and think about your exit before you even enter the building.
Finding Security Bridge
Security Bridge sits in the northern lobby section of Stella Montis. Once you're inside, move with purpose and listen for trouble before you push through each doorway. You don't need to clear every room on the way up. In fact, that usually makes the run worse. The building has several angles where enemies can catch you crossing an open hall, so pause at corners, check stairwells, and don't sprint blindly into a floor you haven't heard out first. The safe you need is on the third floor. Reaching it is straightforward enough when the area is quiet, though it can feel very different when shots are coming from below. If another squad is nearby, waiting for them to move on can be smarter than forcing a fight. The quest doesn't reward style points. It rewards getting the documents home.
The Safe Clue Is Close By
When you reach the third-floor safe, your first interaction won't solve anything. That's the bit that catches people out. The answer isn't hidden somewhere across Stella Montis, and you don't need to search every office. Look around the doorway beside the safe area. There's a bulletin board tucked into the narrow space between the wall and a terminal. It's easy to run past, especially if you're rushing or watching the corridor behind you. Interact with that board to pick up the access information, then return to the safe. This is the whole puzzle. No complicated route, no extra building, just one overlooked object near the objective. Once the safe opens, grab the Project Heartwood Blueprints straight away. Don't hang about sorting your backpack or checking nearby containers. The longer you stand there, the more likely someone hears you moving around.
Getting Out With the Documents
Picking up the item is only the halfway mark. You still need to extract, and that's where a clean run can fall apart. If you have a protected pocket available, put the quest item there as soon as possible. It takes some pressure off, though you should still play like the whole run depends on it. Take the nearest sensible extraction route rather than the one that sends you through the most loot-heavy rooms. People often talk themselves into one more crate, one more desk, one more fight. Then they get caught while overstuffed and have to start again. Keep your route simple: leave Security Bridge, avoid open spaces when you can, listen at doors, and don't fire unless you need to create room. A Snap Hook can help you break away from a bad position, while Seeker Grenades and Lure Grenades are better used to create confusion than to start a drawn-out battle.
Final Thoughts
Stable Housing teaches a useful Stella Montis habit: know exactly what you came for, then leave before the map talks you into taking bigger risks. The route becomes quick once you remember Security Bridge, the third-floor safe, and the hidden bulletin board by the doorway. After that, the real challenge is staying calm during extraction. Keep some currency aside for replacement gear, don't carry your entire best loadout into every run, and save room for the things that actually matter. A growing stock of ARC Raiders Items can make later raids easier, but sensible decisions usually do more for your survival than expensive equipment. Get the Heartwood papers to Tian Wen, collect the mission rewards, and you'll be better placed for whatever Stella Montis throws at you next.
